Writer: Jonathan H. JiangJonathan H. Jiang

Dear Students and Friends

I'm inviting all of you to the premiere screening of “Techne: Evidence in the Anthropocene”, followed by a panel discussion about a potential interstellar messaging effort to revise the Golden Record.

Thu, Aug 17, 2023, 7 pm - 9 pm PT

Free, RSVP required: Link: https://www.caltech.edu/campus-life-events/calendar/free-film-screening-techne-evidence-in-the-anthropocene

Caltech Beckman Auditorium | 332 S Michigan Ave., Pasadena, CA 91106

Parking: You can park in Kot 12 off Michigan Ave south of Del Mar Blvd., or parking structures 1 (123 Wilson Ave.) or 2 (124 Wilson Avg.). Parking in “Reserved spaces” is permitted after 5pm.

It is an intriguing exploration of the connection between knowledge and innovation, and it's going to be quite a fascinating evening with esteemed participants, including Ann Druyan, Bill Nye and several Nobel Laureates. I think it'll be a unique and enjoyable experience for everyone.
