How do I submit my video for the Message in a Bottle (MiaB) Video Competition?

First, upload your video to YouTube, then register your email on our competition site: miab.aeccompetition.com and paste your video link from YouTube onto our submission form. Finally, pay the $10 processing fee, and you will receive an email confirmation of entry.

How many videos can I submit to the competition?

There is no limit on how many video entries contestants can submit, but the system will only allow one video per email address. There will also be a $10 processing fee for each video submitted.

What type of video would be good for this competition?

Any video that uniquely describes humanity and is no longer than 2 minutes meets our criteria for video submission. The best videos will creatively introduce humanity to an extraterrestrial civilization that will not understand our spoken language.

Can I use images/videos from other sources to compile my video?

Certain amounts of copyrighted material may be allowed in your video if it meets the criteria under fair use: What is Fair Use?

As long as your video meets the criteria listed above, you may submit it.
